Candidate Description:
-Student displays an incredible intrinsic passion for the subject(s) above.
-Student is committed to being a lifelong learner of the subject(s) above.
-Student seeks out opportunities to learn as much as possible about the subject(s) above.
Examples may include, but are not limited to:
-Traveling to historical sites or landmarks, such as presidential libraries or gravesites, national parks, or the world’s largest corn maze. Collecting historical artifacts, such as stamps, figurines, bobbleheads, etc.
-Engaging in local and/or national politics, such as volunteering for a political campaign, serving as an election judge, community action efforts, etc.
-Displaying a passion for teaching, such as tutoring or mentoring students, participating in Educators Rising Club, being a Teacher Intern, etc.
-Individuals should seek out their own opportunities to learn and expand their knowledge-base and love of the subject area.

- On-time Application Submission
- Teacher Recommendation
- Description/illustration of their passion for post-secondary education or career plans via one of the following:
- Personal essay (500 words or less)*
- Multimedia presentation (may include, but not limited to iMovie, Quicktime movie, Adobe Spark Video, Google Slideshow, etc.)*
