Scholarship Description:
This is a needs-based scholarship that will be awarded to two RMHS seniors who are/were currently enrolled in, or has exited, the English Learners program.
These $1500 scholarships can be used towards post-secondary school or expenses related to a post-secondary career.
Candidate Description:
- Student is hardworking, respectful, and shows improvements in learning.
- Student demonstrates perseverance through challenges.
- Student is passionate about going to community college, university, or vocational school.
- Student may be a first-generation college student or have a passion for a career through taking at least one career pathway course. (Student may also have expressed interest to a teacher or counselor)
Student Actions Required:
- On-time Application Submission
- EL Teacher Recommendation
- Description/illustration of their passion for post-secondary education or career plans via one of the following:
- Personal essay (500 words or less)*
- Multimedia presentation (may include, but not limited to iMovie, Quicktime movie, Adobe Spark Video, Google Slideshow, etc.)*
*Submitted through the scholarship application
